Cosplay Friday: Harley and Ivy, Christmas style

I mentioned it in last week's Great Art, but I decided this year would be a Harley and Ivy themed Christmas. The holiday themed versions of our favorite Gotham City Sirens are portrayed here by Uncanny Megan and Emi Smile. Fine work from both as well as Emotive Lite Photo!

Bill Walko is a super-talented artist that has kind of become the go-to-guy for fun character art online. He's since branched into his own comic series with The Hero Business which features page after page of his fun visuals. But as a holiday treat here on the blog, I thought I'd share his amazing rendition of the holidays for Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

Cosplay Friday: Harley Quinn and Company

So we are three years away from 2018, so it seems like a great time for a special beginning of the year edition of Cosplay Friday. New Years Day is a modern rock band with an apt name for this time of the year. They recently appeared on Punk Goes Pop Volume 7, an album where punk and rock bands cover modern pop songs. They chose Kehlani's "Gangsta." Most famously used as a theme for Harley and the Joker in Suicide Squad, the members of New Years Day decided to go into full cosplay mode with Ash Costello in Harley Quinn regalia.

Harley Quinn may be the easiest cosplay ever to find on the internet, but few cosplayers ever really make her their own. Rachel Nycole is an exception to the rule as she truly embodies the character in this and several other shots on her DeviantArt. Harley's been on my mind a bit lately, as I have spent a bit of time of late trying to understand her sudden rise to popularity.
