Reminder: Get your Super Powered Fiction Bundle today!

Just a reminder that the Super Powered Fiction Bundle remains available until August 31st. While the finances of the Ahlhelm family are in better shape than they were in late June and July, we still have a long way to go. Fans can now pick up over two dozen novels and short stories at a low price with ease as we continue to make an effort to raise more money to keep things on the upswing.

All you have to do to pick up a copy is donate at least $20 to the GoFundMe. I'll send a link to the books within a day. Click the button below to donate.

Help needed, books given! Introducing the Super Powered Fiction Bundle!

I am going to be honest. My family is still anything but financially well. While many folks have been incredibly generous, we still have a lot of bills waiting to be paid. In fact, while we sit at over 75% of our goal on the GoFundMe, the initial goal is at least $500 short of what we really need at this point.

So I'm going to sweeten the deal. Everyone that donates at least $20 will now get what I am calling the Super Powered Fiction Bundle. It contains all six of my published novels as well as an additional fifteen short stories, including the debut stories of both F.O.R.C.E. and Quadrant, all in the format of your choice. You can find the complete list at the bottom of this post.

With a little help from my friends... and fans

The life of an independent author is not always an easy one. When the profits from your books aren't enough to live on and you find yourself off your other job because of leg injury, things get rough. That's the situation my family and I have found ourselves in for the last couple weeks. With no income coming in, we're in dire straits.

Because of that, I've set up a GoFundMe page. I'm asking fans, friends and family to help us out in our trying times. Even if you can't spare any money (a problem I understand all too well), please consider sharing the campaign and help more people see our troubles. Every little bit will help see us through a few more days.

Kickstart the Week 10: Support James Hudnall

Usually I use this section to promote a new project I think needs more visibility or support on Kickstarter or IndieGoGo, but this time around I am going to hit you with two things you can do to help out one man.

James Hudnall is the former writer of Alpha Flight, Hardcase, The Psycho, ESPers and a bunch of other great comics. He recently lost a foot and in turn, a job and a home, to diabetic complications. Now he is back in the hospital again with another surgery necessary to take more of the already damaged leg. This means more expenses for an already strapped budget.

The fine folks at the Pen & Cape Society including yours truly have gathered together along with the legendary Mike Baron to produce The Good Fight 2: Villains as a charity anthology for James Hudnall. The book is currently available at Amazon and Smashwords for just under a dollar and every penny of profit goes straight to James.

But a dollar is only a dollar even if it comes with a great book. If you can afford more than just that dollar, please consider heading over to his Go Fund Me page and help James out. While he is currently unable to post updates due to a lack of internet access from the hospital, he is keeping folks apprised through Facebook.

So if you want to help, buy a book then donate whatever extra you can to a writer that desperately needs your support in these trying times.

Thanks all.
