The Good Fight 2: Villains

Read about The Good Fight 2 & its charitable purpose at PenandCapeSociety.com!

I have been a member of the Pen & Cape Society since its inauguration but was too deep in my own projects to deliver a story to the first volume of The Good Fight. But when the second volume was in the works, I brought the plight of comic creator James Hudnall to the attention of my fellow authors and we banded together to make a second book dedicated to him. And while its theme was “Villains”, I also used it as a chance to introduce my own character in the vein of his classic ESPers series.

“The Second Life of D.B. Cooper” makes its first appearance in the volume, but far from its last. A decade after his impressive leap from a plane, Coop is now living as a beach bum, but his psychic powers leave him open to an attack from an old foe. What you know about the legendary Mr. Cooper is only the tip of the iceberg as he must use his limited abilities to take on a telekinetic killing machine bent on destroying all of Key West if that is what it takes to get to Coop.

But my story is far from alone in this great collection. Here’s more from the back cover copy:
The second anthology from the authors of the Pen & Cape Society contains eleven all-new tales from the wrong side of the law. The proceeds of this collection will benefit long-time comic book author James Hudnall, who has fallen upon hard times, losing a foot to diabetes and becoming homeless. Bad things can happen to anyone, and the Pen & Cape Society will help where it can. They may write about villains, but they're a pretty heroic bunch. The anthology includes stories by Nick Ahlhelm, Scott Bachmann, Mike Baron, Drew Hayes, Ian Thomas Healy, Hydrargentium, T. Mike McCurley, Landon Porter, R.J. Ross, Cheyanne Young, and Jim Zoetewey.
